Our Story

A Century Of Roofing Excellence

Our story stretches back to the 1920s, when A.C. Bruce — the current owner’s great‑grandfather — began a small roofing business by Forfar. What started as one man’s craft soon became a family tradition that is still going to this day. His son, also A.C. Bruce, carried the business on while serving part‑time in the Fire Brigade.

The next generation saw his two eldest sons take up the tools, working side by side for many years. When the elder brother retired, L.F. Bruce continued the legacy, guiding the business with the same steady hands and commitment that had defined it from the beginning. His son Kenny joined him at 16, learning the trade directly from his dad. In 2006, Kenny took over and renamed the company L.F. Bruce & Sons in honour of his late father.

Today, the fourth generation brings more than 40 years of experience and a promise that has never changed: to be honest, to be reliable, and to only recommend work that serves your home or business. It’s a century‑long family story — built on trust, craftsmanship, and doing right by every customer.
